Styling Our New Brushed Cotton Bed Linen

The days are drawing in and the nights are feeling chilly, which can only mean one thing… the start of a new season and lots of lovely newness to share with you. For autumn/winter ’22 we are bursting at the seams with excitement for the brand new, brushed cotton beauties that have joined our bedmaking family.

Brushed cotton is perfect for creating the cosiest of cocoons on the coldest of nights and you may have already met our fabulous Fred, Arthur and Henry bed linens. As the weather creeps from a little nippy to outright freezing, we’ll be reaching for all the brushed cotton we can find. To make sure you find the perfect fit for your space, we’ve added three new colourways to our collection (because surely double the choice = double the cosiness too).

Let us introduce you to our brand new Fred and Henry bed linens and share with you our hints and tricks for styling them for the months ahead.

We took our best-selling, dark and dreamy Darkest Spruce, gave it a twist, and created our Henry Brushed Cotton Darkest Spruce. Woven with a mixture of deep green and white threads to create a herringbone design, and crafted from 100% responsibly sourced cotton that has been brushed to peachy soft perfection. Henry in Darkest Spruce makes the ideal companion for even the darkest of winter days, so much so that it has us dreaming of cosying up in a quiet little cabin with a big roaring fire and lashings of hot cocoa.

We think it looks best when layered with stacks of toasty throws, so we’re piling them high with our Finn Darkest Spruce Throw, Sonny Throw and Olive Green Big Waffle. Add in a Sonny Cushion Cover and some Darkest Spruce 100% Linen Pillowcases, for a bed that you won’t ever want to leave (plus, you can add or remove layers as the weather changes for sleeptime perfection).

Have you met Fred? He already came in the most wonderful shade of French Blue, but this year we just knew we had to give him a perfectly pink best friend (pink is our favourite colour after all). Fred is made with a whole heap of love by our friends in Portugal and features our classic ticking stripe design.

We're big fans of pink here, so we love matching Fred Blush Pink with our Finn Blush Pink Quilted Throw and if you fancy adding another layer to the mix we’d recommend a peek of our Neo Throw too.

We’ve paired Fred with our Super Soft Cotton Pillowcases in white but as the temperatures drop and the chill sets in you, could make a quick, cosy swap for our Henry Brushed Cotton in White. Add the Henry Brushed Cotton Sheet too for the softest sleep you can imagine.

Fred has been so popular, in fact, that we just had to add one more to the collection. This time for the lovers of a touch of grey. Also made from the softest 100% responsibly sourced cotton and washed and brushed for a deliciously soft finish.

We think that our Fred Grey looks his best when mixed with similar colours, think whites and different shades of grey. Thick textured throws and cushions will help to add dimension and create a bed you can’t wait to dive into.

Break up the grey with some Super Soft Cotton pillowcases in white and layer on our Finn Pebble Grey Quilted Throw and Flint Grey 100% Linen Waffle Throw for extra comfort. If you’re feeling like a pop of colour, you could mix and match with our other Fred Brushed Cotton colourways or slip in a Super Soft Cotton pillowcase in Dusty Pink or French Blue to really make the stripes shine.
