Let's Talk Sustainability
As a Certified B Corp, we are working super-duper hard to really make a positive impact on our planet, and to make sure that our wonderful bedding and nightwear doesn't come at any cost to the environment.
We are taking this journey step by step, and we are thrilled that our nightwear collections are so eco-friendly. Here's a little bit of news about these lovely products and the steps we've taken to make them as sustainable as possible.
What Does 'Organic Cotton' Mean?
We are tickled pink that we have been able to use organic cotton for all our jersey and woven cotton nightwear collections. This is beautiful cotton that is grown organically from non-genetically modified plants, and without the use of any fertilisers or pesticides.
Using organic cotton is also important for biodiversity and by choosing this we are helping to ensure that nasties do not go into the food chain, the soil or our eco system. We are finding ways to use much more organic cotton for our bed linen too, but for nightwear organic was the only option from day one. We jumped in slippers first and are proud to have made our entire cotton nightwear range organic.
Super Star Linen
Much of our nightwear range is made from our absolute favourite fabric, 100% linen. Linen is woven from the fibrous stems of the flax plant which requires minimal water and pesticides. Flax also grows quickly and there is much less waste during the production of linen. And we haven’t even mentioned how comfy and moisture-wicking linen is... All in all, linen is a bit of a super star fabric and is an excellent choice for those seeking out environmentally responsible clothing.
What Is Oeko-Tex?
Quite simply, an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification means that the materials used to make your bedding, linens and nightwear are all safe and free from any nasties and harmful substances.
All our bed linen, bedding and nightwear is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, so you never have to worry about the quality of anything you buy from us.
Plastic Free Packaging
We hate single use plastic as much as the next person, so we are working really hard to completely eliminate all of the plastic packaging across all our ranges. We are really proud that our nightwear collection is wrapped in either recycled plastic, paper or compostable bags, with the aim of moving away from all plastic as soon as we can. We've been taking steps to reduce it across the rest of our business as well, which you can read all about here.
