Duvets, Pillows and Toppers Size Guide

Before you buy your brand new duvet, plush pillow or mattress topper, it's important to check they're sized just right. With the help of our guides and charts, you can size up your soft furnishings before buying to make sure everything is in perfect proportion.

The measurements for all our filled bedding items are for the outer cotton casing. Depending on the chosen tog and filling, the final
product size may be ever so slightly different from the listed size. The thicker the fabric or more filling we pop inside, the plumper it’ll get.

How to Measure a Bed

Before you pick out your new bedding, you’ll need to know how big your bed is. Measuring from the headboard to the bottom of the bed, and then across the middle will give you the length and width to match the measurements below. Just remember - this isn’t the same as your duvet (more on that later).

What Size Pillow Do I Need?

Pillow size is more important than you think. Particularly if you’re a toss-and-turner, it’s always good to make sure you have a sizeable pillow to keep your head cushioned, whatever its position.

What Size Duvet Do I Need?

The ideal duvet is one that’s a tad longer and wider than your mattress, helping you to avoid your feet popping out and getting chilly.

If you have a partner who’s a bit of a duvet hog, you might even want to size up your duvet. For example, you could put a king-sized duvet over a double bed to give plenty of slack.
