FAQs
At Secret Linen Store, we have lots of lovely filling options for your duvet.
Our synthetic fillings, with hollow fibre and microfibre options, are so comfy. Not to mention our bottle bedding, which is made from recycled plastic, for a duvet that’s as sustainable as it is sumptuous.
Why not try wool duvets from our Baa Baa Bedtime range? You’ll always be warm with wool!
Our duvets are machine washable provided that the machine is big enough for the duvet and has extra space for the detergent to work its magic. If your washing machine is quite small, you can take your duvet to a specialist cleaner and use their machine instead.
Then, wash your duvet at no higher than 40 degrees. For a wool duvet, head to the dry cleaners.

The tog, or thermal overall grade, of your duvet measures just how toasty it keeps you. Scientists lay the duvet on a hot plate to see how quickly the heat reaches the other side.
Our duvets come in many different togs to suit each season, from summery 4.5 tog to 13.5 tog for those extra chilly winter nights. See our tog blog to learn more, and explore our seasonal tog guide for help matching your duvet to the weather.

Pillows are super important because they offer support to your spine while you snooze. Your spine has a natural arch, so raising your neck and shoulders while you sleep keeps everything lovely and aligned.

A better question would be, what doesn’t a mattress topper do for a mattress? First, it can help with comfort, adding extra cushioning or firmness to your mattress. It’s also a great barrier against dirt, keeping your mattress cleaner for longer. This, in turn, extends the lifespan of your mattress, saving you some pennies.
Rotating your mattress topper regularly keeps it plump and comfortable, while a mattress protector minimises staining.
See our bedding care guide to keep your topper in tip-top shape.
