By purchasing from our website www.secretlinenstore.com, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of trading. Please feel free to print these terms and conditions for your reference and note that any changes will be made directly to this page.

About us

1. We are The Secret Linen Store Ltd, registered in England and Wales to Secret Linen Store, No 5, Durban Business Centre, Durban Road, Bognor Regis, PO22 9FE. Company number 08590307, VAT no. 171 0307 50.

Our Services

1. Our products and services are provided to adults over the age of eighteen (18) years. By proceeding to purchase through our website, you acknowledge that you are over 18 years of age and are accessing the site from the UK or any other EU member state.
2. All prices are in Great British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT. We endeavour to ensure that our price list is current.
3. We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time.

Product Descriptions

1. We strive to ensure that our products are described as accurately as possible on our website, however we do not warrant that the description is accurate. Where we become aware of any incorrect description, we reserve the right to correct any error or omission.
2. Our photography is as true to colour as we can get it. All screens are calibrated differently and we cannot guarantee that physically the product will be an exact match. We endeavour to do all we can to get a true likeness. Please order a pillowcase, or other small item, if you wish to see the colour in person before you commit to a full order.  Returns are free.
3. Our measurements are correct to the nearest centimetre. We use UK standard bedding sizes for our duvet cover and pillowcases.

Pricing

1. Our published online prices are all inclusive of VAT and we reserve the right to adjust the VAT if the rate is changed.
2. Prices are correct at the time of online publishing, we reserve the right to alter these prices.
3. If a price has been mis-represented on our website and you have placed an order for that item, we will contact you asap to inform you of our mistake and ask you if you would like to proceed with the order at the correct price. If you choose not to proceed or we cannot get in touch with you, we will cancel the order and immediately refund the total amount debited.

Product Orders

1. Our products are for sale to adults over the age of eighteen (18) years. By proceeding to purchase through our website, you acknowledge that you are over 18 years of age.
2. We will include stock levels on our website, and will do everything in our power to make sure they are correct, however we give no undertaking as to the availability of any product advertised on our website. If your order cannot be fulfilled from stock for any reason, we will contact you within 2 working days to notify you of this.
3. Postage is charged at a flat rate of £3.95 per order for UK mainland delivery, regardless of size and weight. Orders over the value of £80 (excluding delivery charges) are delivered for free.
4. It is your responsibility to check that the items, prices and your personal delivery details on your order are correct, and notify us of any inconsistency straight away.
5. When you order from us, we require you to provide your name, address for delivery, your email address, telephone contact and credit card details. We undertake to take due care with this information; however in providing us with such information you accept that we are not liable for its misuse due to error in transmission or virus or malware.

Deliveries

1. We use Royal Mail or DPD as our nominated courier partners for UK deliveries. At the time your goods are despatched we will supply you with a tracking number to follow your order online. We endeavour to deliver within 2 working days but cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control. We ask that you supply an up-to-date shipping address, mobile phone number and email address at the time of order so that the courier can communicate with your directly regarding your delivery. We will never share your details with any 3rd party.
2. Our delivery service is only currently offered on Mondays to Fridays.
3. We may require a signature for any delivery we make to you, however you are able to re-arrange your delivery directly with the courier.

Cancellations

1. Due to the quick turn around of orders, orders cannot be cancelled once they have been despatched and are in the hands of our courier partner. If you have placed an order and wish to cancel it, please contact us asap and we will review what is possible.

Returns & Refunds

1. You have 60 days to return unwanted goods. Items must be: 

• Unused
• Unwashed
• In their original packaging 

 2. Shipping costs, duties, taxes, and fees for international orders are non-refundable. 

3. Refunds are issued for the item price only.

Our Processing Timeline: 

• Allow 3–5 working days for your return to reach us.
• Allow an additional 7 days for processing. 
• Once approved, it can take up to 10 days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. 

Our Inspection Details:

• Non-faulty returns sent opened or in different packaging will be inspected. 
• If unsellable, we’ll contact you to arrange sending the parcel back. 
• Washed items cannot be returned.

 Exchanges 

1. Unused and unwashed items in original packaging can be exchanged if you’ve made a mistake or changed your mind. 

2. Follow the return steps on our Returns and Exchanges page, selecting the ‘exchange’ option. 

3. Exchanged items may not qualify for the same discount if exchanged outside a sale period.  

Faulty Products 

1. We rigorously quality-test all products, but if a fault slips through, please contact us as soon as you can:

Faulty items will be inspected by our quality team before replacement. 

Key Points for Faulty Items:

• Items damaged by overuse, wear and tear, discolouration or bleach cannot be replaced as faulty. 
• All faulty items must be returned for inspection to help us improve. 
• Washed items returned due to dissatisfaction (colour or feel) cannot be refunded. 
• We’ll do our best to replace faulty items like-for-like, but if unavailable, we’ll work with you to find a suitable replacement. 
• No financial compensation is available beyond the value of the goods. 

Examples of Non-Acceptable Returns:

• Faulty items returned dirty or unwashed (unsanitary for inspection). 
• Wear and tear after 2 years (our bed linen is guaranteed for wear and tear within this timeframe). 
• Items discoloured by bleach, bleach-containing products, beauty products that cause bleaching, or extreme sunlight. 
• Washed items that have not been laundered according to the care Label or website information
• Items damaged by incorrect /accidental use or pets. 
• Washed non-faulty items.

Site Access

1. When you visit our website, we give you a limited licence to access and use our information for personal use.
2. You are permitted to download a copy of the information on this website to your computer for your personal use only provided that you do not delete or change any copyright symbol, trade mark or other proprietary notice. Your use of our content in any other way infringes our intellectual property rights.
3. Except as permitted under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, you are not permitted to copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or display any of the information on this website without our prior written permission. The licence to access and use the information on our website does not include the right to use any data mining robots or other extraction tools.
4. The licence also does not permit you to metatag or mirror our website without our prior written permission. We reserve the right to serve you with notice if we become aware of your metatag or mirroring of our website.

Hyperlinks

1. You may link our website without our consent. Any such linking will be entirely your responsibility and at your expense. By linking, you must not alter any of our website's contents including any intellectual property notices and you must not frame or reformat any of our pages, files, images, text or other materials.

Intellectual Property Rights

1. The copyright to all content on this website including applets, graphics, images, layouts and text belongs to us or we have a licence to use those materials.
2. All trade marks, brands and logos generally identified either with the symbols TM or ® which are used on this website are either owned by us or we have a licence to use them. 3. Any comment, feedback, idea or suggestion (called “Comments”) which you provide to us through this website becomes our property. If in future we use your Comments in promoting our website or in any other way, we will not be liable for any similarities which may appear from such use. Disclaimers

1. Whilst we have taken all due care in providing the information on our website, we do not provide any warranty either express or implied including without limitation warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
2. To the extent permitted by law, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied into these terms and conditions is excluded.
3. We also take all due care in ensuring that our website is free of any virus, worm, Trojan horse and/or malware, however we are not responsible for any damage to your computer system which arises in connection with your use of our website or any linked website.

Limitation of Liability

1. To the full extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of an implied warranty or condition is limited to the supply of the goods and/or services again or payment of the costs of having those goods and/or services supplied again.
2. We accept no liability for any loss whatsoever including consequential loss suffered by you arising from product/s we have supplied.

Indemnity

1. By accessing our website, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from all claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses including legal fees arising from or in connection with your use of our website.

Force Majeure

1. If a Force Majeure event causing delay continues for more than 30 days, we may terminate this Agreement by giving at least 7 Notice to you. “Force Majeure” means any act, circumstance or omission over which we could not reasonably have exercised control.

Jurisdiction

1. These terms and conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and any claim made by either party against the other which in any way arises out of these terms and conditions will be heard in England and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those Courts.
2. If any provision in these terms and conditions is invalid under any law the provision will be limited, narrowed, construed or altered as necessary to render it valid but only to the extent necessary to achieve such validity. If necessary the invalid provision will be deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Privacy

1. We undertake to take all due care with any information which you may provide to us when accessing our website. However we do not warrant and cannot ensure the security of any information which you may provide to us. Information you transmit to us is entirely at your own risk although we undertake to take reasonable steps to preserve such information in a secure manner.
2. Our compliance with privacy legislation is set out in our separate Privacy Policy which may be accessed from our home page.

Promo Codes

1. Our Clearance or Special Offer products are never included in any other offers (unless indicated otherwise).
2. Promo codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other promo code.
3. Promo codes cannot be used on products that are already discounted on the website (unless indicated otherwise).
4. Promo codes cannot be used on charity collection products (unless indicated otherwise). This includes our Choose Love collection.
5. Any promotions, discount codes or offers cannot be used on A Spring Quilt by Jessie Cutts in any circumstance.
6. Any promotions, discount codes or offers cannot be used on the Molly Mahon range in any circumstance.

Image Rights Agreement (User Generated Content)

If you engage with our social media accounts via Instagram and Facebook, we might ask if we are able to use your imagery or video content across our website, social media accounts and other marketing channels. If we like your image or video content and we know others will benefit from seeing it, we want to make sure you know exactly how we intend to use it.

1. By replying to our post requesting to use your image or video content and providing your permission, you represent and warrant that you own the content and there are no other entities with ownership claims over it. You grant Secret Linen Store a non-exclusive and non-revocable commercial right to reproduce the image or video content in any form (including, but not limited to, video, internet posting, reproduction, display, email, publication, and distribution), either through our own services or services provided by third parties, throughout the world in any medium now known or later developed and without restriction or limitation.
2. You agree that your image may be used by Secret Linen Store either alone or in conjunction with sketches, cartoons, captions, films, artwork, or other photographs. While Secret Linen Store will make commercially reasonable efforts to give you credit for your photo and provide a link back to your social media account, you agree that such credit is not mandatory and your permission for us to use your image or video content is not contingent upon such credit being given.
3. You waive any right to inspect and/or approve the finished work incorporating the image/video or the advertising copy that may be used in connection therewith or the use of which said finished work may be applied.
4. You waive any claims to royalties with regards to your image or video or our finished work.

If you don’t agree to these terms and would prefer us not to share your content, we completely understand, and no further action is required. We are thrilled to see Secret Linen Store products in your home and look forward to seeing the lovely content you post.
