A standard UK sized double bed is 137 x 191cm. (Not to be confused with a small double which is a little smaller at 122 x 191cm.)
Most people are comfortable using a double sized duvet (200 x 200cm) on a double sized bed. However if you're looking to give your bed an opulent look or like to have plenty of coverage, you could try sizing up to a king size duvet (225 x 220cm).
