We think there is something wonderfully romantic about sheer curtains. They act like a soft veil for your window, diffusing harsh sunlight and casting a gentle, flattering glow across your room. Unlike our heavier blackout curtains, which are designed to shut the world out, sheers are all about inviting the light in while maintaining a sense of privacy.

Our collection includes whisper-light 100% linen curtains and beautiful cotton curtains that float in the breeze. They are perfect for layering behind fully lined curtains for a luxurious hotel look, or for using alone in spaces where you want to keep things bright and airy.

Sheer Curtains FAQs

Sheers are the multitaskers for daytime privacy. They prevent people from seeing in, but still let plenty of lovely natural light flood into your room. They are also brilliant for softening the acoustics in a room with hard floors.

Absolutely, but we usually recommend layering them. While they look dreamy, they won't block out the morning sun. A popular trick is to pair sheers (for daytime privacy) with a blackout blind or a pair of heavy curtains (for night time darkness).

Just like our other styles, you should measure the pole or track rather than the window frame. Because sheers are lightweight, they look wonderful when they are nice and full, so don't skimp on the width.

Our sheer curtains come with a loop-top header, which has a lovely, laid-back look to go with the relaxed drape of the fabric. They are easy peasy to hang as well, simply slide the fabric loops over your curtain pole, making sure you have enough width to make your curtains look nice and full.
