Bedding FAQs

What makes Secret Linen Store bedding so special?

We're so glad you asked. It's our passion for the little things. We use only the finest natural fabrics, like 100% linen and cotton, and partner with the best makers in Portugal. Because we sell directly to you, we can offer beautiful, expertly made luxury bedding without the luxury price tag.

To learn more, read our story on why you should choose us for your next bedding set.

What is the best material for my bedding?

The best material is the one that feels most comfortable for you. If you love a crisp, cool hotel feel and tend to sleep warm, our 100% cotton is perfect. If you adore a silky-smooth, luxurious touch, you'll love our sateen cotton. For a relaxed, breathable, and timeless look that gets softer over time, you can't go wrong with our beautiful 100% Linen.

Still not sure which bedding material is best? Head to our bedding buying guide for more top tips.

How should I care for my new bedding?

All our bedding is designed to be loved and washed for years to come. We recommend washing your linens at 40 degrees with similar colours and avoiding overloading your machine. Line-drying is always wonderful, but you can tumble dry on a low heat.

For all the details on keeping your bedding beautiful, please see our Bed Linen Care Guide.

What is the best thread count for bedding?

What is a good thread count for sheets? The best thread count for sheets ranges roughly anywhere from 200 to 600. Any sheet with a thread count lower than 200 likely won't feel as soft, potentially compromising the comfort of your sleep.
