What tog rating is best for a double winter duvet?
For a standard double bed, a 10.5 or 13.5 tog duvet is usually perfect for winter, providing a fantastic level of warmth. If your room is particularly cold or you get chilly easily, you could opt for a 15 tog for maximum snugness.
A standard UK double duvet measures 200cm wide by 200cm long (or 78 x 78 inches). All our double duvet covers are made to this standard size so you can be sure of a perfect fit.
Is a double duvet warm enough for two people?
A double duvet should absolutely be toasty for two as long as you choose the right tog rating. A high-tog double duvet, such as a 13.5 or 15 tog, is designed to provide excellent insulation for two people in a standard double bed.
