UK deliveries - free mainland UK delivery on all orders over £80, delivered within 3 to 6 working days.

We use Royal Mail, DPD and DHL to make sure your new items arrive safely. You’ll receive an email from the courier when we’ve sent your parcel with a tracking number to follow your parcel’s progress. You’ll also be assigned a delivery slot and be able to re-arrange your delivery or arrange delivery to a neighbour, safe place or local collection point.

We do have Next Day and Saturday Delivery available within mainland UK for an additional charge of £4.95/£9.95. We are sadly unable to offer Next Day Delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey & Guernsey and some more remote parts of Scotland. Mon-Thu order before 3pm.

International deliveries – shipping will be calculated at checkout and you should receive your order within 7-10 days although there is an expedited option available for some destinations.

Our valances are thoughtfully made and designed to be safe under normal, everyday use. They must be used with care and regard for safety instructions, especially in homes with children, older adults, or anyone with limited mobility. They're built to stay stable, hold their shape, and perform reliably throughout their use and care cycle.

1. Tripping or Entanglement Hazard

• Ensure valance length is appropriate for the bed height; fabric that trails on the floor can cause tripping, snagging, or entanglement, especially in low-visibility environments or for children and elderly users
• Avoid using valances with excessively loose or gathered edges that may catch on feet or mobility aids

2. Fire Safety

• Keep valances away from heat sources such as radiators, electric heaters, or open flames
• For added precaution, select materials that are inherently flame-retardant or treated with a home-safe flame-retardant spray (optional, not mandatory for domestic use)
• Do not place candles or incense near the base of beds with valances

3. Chemical Safety

• Choose valances certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 or equivalent, ensuring they are free from harmful substances, allergenic dyes, or heavy metals

4. Suffocation & Strangulation Risk

• Do not use valances on cribs, cots, or toddler beds, as loose fabric may pose suffocation or strangulation risks
• Avoid leaving small children unsupervised around long draped fabric that they could pull or wrap around themselves

5. Tearing, Shrinkage, and Fit Deformation

• Follow care labels precisely to avoid shrinkage, which may cause the valance to lift, exposing mattress bases and defeating the intended use
• Avoid aggressive pulling when fitting over sharp bed edges

6. Care and Maintenance

• Always wash according to label instructions; incorrect temperature or drying may lead to shrinkage, fading, or tearing
• Ironing may be needed to restore shape, depending on fabric
• It is always recommended to wash dark or brightly coloured valances separately to avoid dye transfer
• High-temperature washing or tumble drying may shrink or weaken seams and closures
• Bleach and harsh detergents may fade dyes or damage fabric
• If care instructions are unclear or missing, contact the supplier or treat cautiously (e.g. cool wash, air dry)

Warnings & Best Practices

• Do not use valances with torn seams, loose threads, or dragging fabric
• For young children, use age-appropriate bedding without excess fabric near the sleep surface
• Avoid decorative trims, tassels, or cords that may pose entanglement or strangulation risks in family or care settings
• Ensure full laundering instructions are present and visible; products without clear care guidance may fail prematurely or present unexpected hazards
