We're only a small team, so there's always chatter going on about what we've been doing, watching, reading and you can come away from one day in the office with a handful of recommendations... our monthly Secret Sevens lets us share with you what we've been sharing with each other. Here's what floated our boat in October.

What's got us grinning this month... well it's you lovely bunch. We launched our Little Dresses for Africa crafty charity project at the end of September and the response has been more amazing than we could have imagined. We've seen our dresses popping up in crafty magazines, at sewing clubs and we've started having a few arrive with us in the post (we'll share those with you soon!).

If you'd like to make one of your own (it's really not that hard) then read our instructions, make a dress and make a difference.

Stripes. They are back on our radar. Our Coastal Stripe has been proving to be a favourite this month (so much so that we actually have empty boxes, but not for long!). Molly's been wearing a new Whistles cashmere jumper that she snapped up on Ebay and looking at wonderful samples of some new stripy sheet

Autumn is nearing an end and it's starting to feel more and more like winter by the day. The hats, scarves and coats are out in full force. Converse high tops are our Autumn staple, a classic. Perfect for crisp sunny walks, strolls to the beach or just a wander around town. The best thing about them... they will go with anything you throw on and never let you down.

The wonderful Jodie seems to have been inspired by this years Great British Bake Off and recently stumbled upon this article on the Guardian with all the tools to make the perfect cheese scone. She spent a weekend whipping us up a batch (YUM). Her advice for the perfect scones... always add extra cheese.

Molly has had her eye on one of Tom Raffields lamp shades for the past year and we got a glimpse into his incredible home on Grand Designs this month. His house was a work of art and one of our favourites of the series so far.

This shade is top of our wish list (fingers crossed, Christmas is coming). Lovely man, lovely family, very lovely home and extremely inspiring.

A little foodie recommendation from Molly... you might not be able to get there, but if you ever can, do. Molly's trip for a super supper, with her 2 best friends was to the Habit in Nunhead, South East London. The warm artichoke dip was a food highlight of the year, and should be on every menu. If you're not in the area then find yourself an independent restaurant with delicious food, a fabulous atmosphere and spend an evening with good friends... and make sure to let us know all about it.

Another month, another new place discovered. With the weather turning you might be tempted to spend your weekend indoors, hot tea in hand, but don't. A long weekend away in Dorset has uncovered a new favourite place to visit, The Golden Cap. A must visit for fun by the sea with a fantastic pub right on the beach ready for lunch.
