Our fitted sheets will be a snug fit for mattresses up to 36cm in depth, and the buttery softness of the sateen finish means that ironing won't be too much effort.

  • Comes up slightly big for fitted But saying that it’s nice to have something that covers the entire mattress. So soft and shiny.

  • In order to fit a normal sized double bed as a bottom sheet this sheet requires turning through 90 degrees leaving the deep turn-back at the side rather than the top where it would normally be. The seam thread on this sheet is not colour-fast and has faded to a light grey after only two 40 degree washes (the accompanying duvet cover had thread that was colour-fast but the pillow cases also have fading seam thread). I chose this bedding because I wanted a good quality dark coloured pure cotton and on arrival the satin cotton looked lovely. After two washes and being used as bedding the surface of the cotton is no longer completely smooth but rather looks almost brushed. I fear it will develop bobbles as often short fibred cotton does. I do not understand why this bedding is described as luxury or why it deserves the high price. High thread count is only one aspect of a good cotton weave. I would not have bought this bedding if I had known it would almost immediately have a brushed surface.
