• Describe your job in 3 words.

Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate

  • What’s the best thing about owning your very own chocolate factory?

People’s reaction when you tell them what you do for a living.

  • What was your favourite chocolate as a child… and what is it now?

White chocolate fish and chips penny sweets (I now know that this isn’t even chocolate!). Now, it’s a much more sophisticated 54% cocoa milk chocolate called ‘the Dark Side’.

  • What’s your next big interior challenge?

We have been renovating a very unloved Georgian house for three years and we’re nearly there. We have left the children’s rooms until last as they are constantly bashing them around anyway but I would love to put in a new bathroom for them which is fun and functional and stops them using my shower. It’s a challenge because Simon thinks their current bathroom is perfectly ok!

  • Are you all about long lie-ins or up with the lark?

Definitely up with the lark, our children have always been early risers so even if we used to enjoy a lie-in, I have forgotten what one is after all this time!

  • Instagram or Twitter?

I’m on twitter but I am not a lover of either.

  • What's on your bed today?

All white sheets in cotton seersucker as the iron is my enemy!

  • Do you wear a nightdress, pj's, or nothing?

Nothing.

  • Who would you invite to your dream midnight feast? dead / alive/ animal?

All of my old friends who I never have time to see and who wouldn’t expect me to be a party animal at midnight!

  • If you could move your bed to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would like to be able to hear the sea while I’m lying in bed so anywhere on the coast please.

  • How do you like your eggs?

Poached or scrambled, never boiled.

  • Clean sheet Friday or clean sheet Sunday? (Harriet and I disagree)

Definitely Friday, that’s the day my amazing cleaner comes to save me from my cold sweats over a dirty and untidy house.

  • Do you have a bedtime ritual, can you share it with us?

I like to listen to the radio on 30 minute sleep mode and try to fall asleep before it goes off. I rarely do but spend 29 and a half of those minutes listening to Simon sleeping soundly!

  • Flat sheet or fitted sheet?

Fitted.

  • You're off for a weekend camping... what one luxury do you take from your bedroom?

Over the years, we have progressed from inch-thick camp bed rolls to fully inflatable mattresses so in my book, this is not a luxury but a necessity. Therefore, my luxury would be my pillow!

  • Tell us a secret?

I always have a brushed cotton pillow case on my pillow, so grandmotherly but so soft and comfortable. Next stop, full length nightie surely?

  • Who should Molly meet next?

Simon - I bet his answers would be very different!
