They've made it their mission to create popcorn in any flavour your heart desires (orange marmalade popcorn for breakfast anyone?) and I couldn't have been happier to meet founder Adam...

  • What makes you get out of bed in the morning?

The feeling of seeing people pick up your product from the shelf and buying it will never, ever get old.


  • What's the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I didn’t receive the advice personally, but I’ve always like the Epictetus quote:

“We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak." I think listening is so important, especially when you’re running a business so you can understand exactly what your customers’ needs are.


  • What’s the oddest popcorn flavour request you’ve had?

We’ve got a bit of a reputation as the “Willy Wonka of popcorn” so we get a fair few requests! The oddest is probably Teriyaki Beef.


  • If you could put your bed anywhere in the world where would it be?

On a beach in the Maldives, because then I would be on a beach, in the Maldives.


  • Creating delicious popcorn treats all day must be tiring… Do you have any top secrets to a good night’s sleep?

I only sleep well if I know every email in my inbox has been replied to! I know it’s a bit sad, but it’s a rule I’ve always tried to live by.


  • You can only have one thing for breakfast for the rest of time. What do you choose?

It’s a bit of an odd one, but I do enjoy Peanut Butter & Marmite on toast.


  • Instagram or Twitter?

We’ve actually met a fair few of our customers via Twitter, so I’d have to say Twitter (I do love Instagram though!)


  • What's on your bed today?

I invested in a summer duvet last year which I thought I wouldn’t need to use with the atrocious Summer we were having, but thankfully it’s in use again now! I like to keep it simple, so I just have some plain white cotton bedding on at the moment.


  • Are you an early bird or night owl?

Popcorn keeps me pretty busy, so can I say both?


  • Do you have any bedtime rituals?

It’s more a bad habit than a ritual but I am quite partial to a late night snack from time-to-time...


  • Flat sheet or fitted?

Fitted sheets are a bit more straight-forward…


  • Who would you invite over for a dream midnight feast?

We’ll we’ve just released a Frobscottle popcorn for The BFG movie, and having seen the film recently, he seems like a very nice chap, so he would be more than welcome. I’m a bit of a business nerd too so I would also invite Richard Branson, Richard Reed (founder of Innocent Smoothies) and Steve Jobs.

Clean sheet Sunday – I’m always too tired/lazy to do it on a Friday!

Ok I will let you in on a small one on what our next flavour is… Coconut & Chia Seeds (and it’s rather good if we do say so ourselves).
