Shopping for Father's Day is no easy task. Perhaps we're making it harder than it should be, but everything seems to either be covered in 'Worlds Greatest Dad' or he simply won't want / use it. These are our favourite things that we think Dads will love this Father's Day (and if you're still stuck, you're in the right place to treat him to a set of new sheets!).
National Trust membership
We can guarantee this will put a smile on any Dads face. The membership gets you access to hundreds of beautiful sites across the UK and it's a gift that lasts the whole year. You'll even be encouraging him to trot off on a new adventure (and that's always a good idea).
Why get him one pair of socks when he could have a pair arrive every month? A present that will solve all those lost sock, holes in socks and odd sock problems. Sock Fancy is the perfect place for socks covered in prints and patterns, bound to give him happy feet (plus free worldwide shipping!).
Beer (or cheese)
Don't just give him any beer... Dad deserves proper ales, the fancy stuff. Beer Bods will send you 12 beers, every 12 weeks for £3 a bottle with a super selection of smaller breweries and the story behind each bottle. If he's more of an 'experiences over possessions' person then take a tour of a local brewery together. What if he's not a big drinker... then choose cheese. You can get monthly subscriptions or tasting days... and don't worry cheese won't actually give you nightmares.
A homemade dinner
A gift isn't always necessary on Father's Day, a little effort can go a long way. Take the time to whip up his favourite dinner (and dessert... always have dessert).
Show up this Sunday, bags brimming with breakfast-y goodness. Pancakes, jams, juices, eggs and fresh coffee... cook him the best breakfast you can (this does mean no breakfast in bed, but for Dad we make an exception). A great day always starts with an even better breakfast.
Vinyl record player
Rather than trying to turn him to gadgets, give him something he'll use and will bring him hours of pleasure. Chances are he's probably still hoarding all his records somewhere, if not, then pair it with his all time favourite album on Vinyl.
Treat your dad to the beauty products he never knew he needed. All men shave, so why not make it a little more of a luxury. A quality set of shaving products will be appreciated and more importantly, he'll use it. Traditional wet shave kits offer a touch of sophistication to his shave.
