Warmed ginger and spiced apple

At this time of year, I love to warm up something spicy and soothing to keep my hands warm. This is a favorite...my spiced apple cider. You can replace the cider with some cloudy fresh apple juice for a non alcoholic treat. best sipped with friends and laughter and some cheesy Christmas music.

Pop all of the ingredients into a big pan and gently warm through. Serve warm.

  • 2 pints of apple cider
  • 150ml  fresh orange juice (freshly squeezed if you can)
  • 6  cloves
  • 5 cardamom pods (crushed)
  • 4 star anise
  • 3 lemons (sliced)
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 piece peeled fresh ginger (sliced)
  • one big pan
  • Christmas music
