Trends From Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, is the biggest event of the year for showcasing all things garden design. Influencing its visitors to switch up their garden style and invest in the latest innovative garden designs. We love seeing the trends from the show crossover into the world of interiors... so we're taking a look at the biggest colour trends that have come out of this year's Chelsea Flower Show, and looking at how you can bring them into your home decor.

Green is big every year (for obvious reasons), but this year bright, zesty greens were used more than ever. Pantone's colour of the year for 2017, Greenery, was the big colour this year. Plants were brighter and we love that this bright shade of green is still making its way into our homes.

The best thing about Greenery is that it's versatile, so will work in any home. If pops of bright colour are your thing, pair it with other vibrant shades like orange and pink. If you prefer a more understated interior, then use with bronze, neutral and earthy tones.

The easiest way to get this trend at home... house plants. Pop a few around your home for an instant dash of green.

Bright and Bold

Last year we saw bundles of pastel shades popping in all the gardens, this year the colour palette was much more vibrant. With splashes of bright orange, yellow and pink making an appearance.

We love the big, bold orange and pink walls in the "Beneath a Mexican Sky" garden. If you love these bright shades and want to add a pop of colour into your home, we've written about the simple ways you can add colour to your interior. From bright and vibrant bedding to statement rugs, there's loads of ideas to brighten up your home.

Yellow makes us happy. It represents spring, summer and sunshine, and lucky for us it seems to be becoming one of the big colour trends of the year. Sunflowers were the big sellers at last years Chelsea Flower show, so this year they became a feature across most gardens, proving yellow is here to stay.

When Molly met colour expert Karen, she said brighter shades of yellow aren't great for the bedroom, but perfect for the rest of the home. Splash bold mustard shades and pops of canary yellow around your lounge, garden and kitchen.

For your bedroom, use softer shades of yellow on the walls, we love Mylands "Lemon Salts", and mix with neutrals and golds. Our Teasels Butterscotch is perfect if you want to add a subtle splash of colour to your bedroom.

What do you think to this year's big colours? Would you consider a pop of colour for your bedroom, or do you prefer to keep things calm?

We'd love to hear what you think and how you'd bring these colours into your interior.
