This Works is one of our favourite beauty brands, because in all honesty... their products do work! They make truly natural products and their Deep Sleep range is (for obvious reasons) something we can't get enough of. We are delighted to be partnering up with them in September, so Molly met founder Kathy to catch up...
Tell us what you do in 3 words
Write. Visualise. Teach.
What makes you get out of bed in the morning?
Whatever project is on the boil today.
What's the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Work is it’s own reward“
from B.K.S Iyengar’s, “ Light on Yoga. “
What are your 3 must have ThisWorks products?
Dry Leg Oil – my first idea and still our hero product.
Deep Sleep Bath Oil – two great experiences- bath and aromatherapy in one.
No Wrinkles Extreme Moisturiser – I’m old enough to need the Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid boost.
Do you have a bedtime beauty routine? Can you share your secrets…
Luxury pillows, This Works Pillow Spray, and a chapter or two of a good book (the Yoga practice goes without saying after all these years).
If you could put your bed anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’m lucky enough to have a house on the beach so I can wake up and smell the ozone- nothing better.
If you had to have the same thing for breakfast every morning what would it be?
Robert Wilson’s Natural Earl Grey tea, Rye toast and home made marmalade.
What’s on your bed today?
White sheets, white pillowcases, white cotton bedspread. Black and white cushions.
Tea or Coffee?
Tea- Builders/good Earl Grey or some of the amazing teas I’ve brought back from Japan, China and Korea. I love them all.
Instagram or Twitter?
Instagram. I like putting up the work of great photographers, make-up artists and hairdressers that I’m lucky enough to work with.
Are you an early bird or night owl?
Both - it’s the bit in between that I’m not good at. I’d suit the Mediterranean schedule of an afternoon siesta.
Flat sheets or fitted?
Both - fitted bottom and flat top sheet. I don’t like duvets so it’s sheets and blankets for me.
Who would you invite over for a dream midnight feast? (no restrictions)
Husband and son, a few of my very best friends and then perhaps Massimo Botturo to cook, Professor C.G Jung for some psychology and Diana Vreeland for glamour and style.
Clean sheet Friday or clean sheet Sunday? (Harriet and I disagree)
